Day 33-35: Calton Hill - Edinburgh | Botanical Gardens

Updated: Dec 1, 2019

The days are ticking down and it is getting harder to write about what goes on as we are all finishing up school work and getting in all the last minute small trips or attractions we have yet to see. This was the final class field trip to Calton Hill - an observatory and gallery.

We were to do a homework assignment on a video on Feminism featured in the gallery but it wasn't what our professor expected so she decided to make it an open assignment to reflect on the galleries we've seen. This place was very interesting as it was used back in the day as an observatory for the solar system. There wasn't much on exhibit regarding that though as it was the time for art there.

The last full day I had in Edinburgh was spent with the girls I grew close with and walking through the Botanical Gardens of Edinburgh. It was huge and had so many different aspects to it. Well worth visiting, and thanks to Kallie's sisters they recommended it for us. I guess this whole week Scotland's weather was making it hard to leave because it was FINALLY sunny! AND WARM!

A perfect day to wonder around Edinburgh and the gardens one last time. They had everything from plants found in Edinburgh, Europe, China, Japan and America. Definitely could spend a whole day there as they had many interactive events, coffee shops and also plenty of opportunities to take pictures or lounge and have a picnic.

Well second to last journal entry down, one more to go. I can't believe how fast this trip has gone by! I am and also am not ready to say goodbye.
